Adult Ministry
Our Inspiration
"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. " Romans 12:2
Our Direction
Dutchtown Baptist Church invites you to actively participate in any one of our adult Bible-based small groups on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. Our small groups are focused on developing a deeper knowledge of God's Word, discipling members to fulfill God's calling in their lives, ministering to those in need and reaching out to the lost. Each group is also working to empower leadership development and effective group ministry, outreach and fellowship by seeking willing servants to fill one of the following roles: outreach-ministry coordinator, teacher trainee and fellowship coordinator.
Sunday School Classes
Jesus is the Bread of Life. He is the Word who became flesh and dwelt among us. We learn about Him and come to know Him through the Word of God. We invite you to join us and learn more about God through the Bible, fellowship with our friends and family and reach out to others as groups.
College and Career
We are young adults, post high school, 18 to 25 years old. We meet for Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. and small-group fellowship Sunday evenings at 6 p.m. We have a once-a-month outreach, and we are involved with missions. We go on class retreats, and are focused on studying special topics throughout the year. Another method the College and Career Class uses to keep in touch with each other is their facebook account located at http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=41759162620.
Adult I
Adult I is a mission group, born due to the growth God has allowed in our congregation. It is a group of couples with young children, couples without children and singles who are focused on the study of God's Word, growing relationships within the small group, ministry and outreach. We are working our way through Lifeway's "You - Connect, Grow, Serve, Go" material. Along with the Adult II class, the Adult I class has adopted a local Fire Department as an outreach ministry.
Adult II
Adult II is a Bible-believing group of couples with young children through the teen years and couples without children. The group uses both Lifeway material and topical Bible studies designed to nurture spiritual development, promote unity and, above all, glorify God. The group has a heart for and seeks out ministry and outreach opportunities. Along with the Adult I class, the Adult II class has adopted a local Fire Department as an outreach ministry.
Adult III
Adult III is a compassionate group of believers focused on the needs of parents who have teens through college age, as well as empty nesters. The group uses both Lifeway material and topical Bible studies. Members of this class are involved in many different aspects of the ministries of DBC and are searching for a distinctive class ministry.
Adult IV
Adult IV is a diverse group of very active mature adults, couples, widows and widowers who wish to see the gospel spread and, as such, participate in a number of outreach ministries including on-site building projects such as Builders for Christ, traveling to Mexico to help with backyard Bible Schools and meeting any need in the community of which they become aware and are equipped to handle. A wealth of knowledge and a willingness to share are the two greatest hallmarks of this group.
Ladies
This is a group of ladies from all walks of life who learn, grow, encourage and spread the gospel of Christ together. We have single and married individuals as part of our group. The group spends time praying for the husbands of the married members as the spiritual leaders of the home. This class has adopted teachers of a local school, and has provided them with treats and encouragement. We are looking forward to seeing how God moves through us in this school. We are excited for each other as God moves in our lives, and wait with anticipation for what's next for our group.
Men's Ministry
The Men's Ministry encourages men to grow in their walk with Christ and to fulfill their calling as servant leaders.
Women's Ministry
The Women's Ministry encourages women to know and follow Jesus Christ in their daily lives through prayer, Bible study, fellowship and serving others. Activities include a meeting each month.
Sr. Adult Ministry
Senior adults join together monthly for lunch and a time of devotion at the church. Our doors are open to friends in the community to join in fellowship.
Other Activities
