Worship
Our Inspiration
"In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one cried to another and said: "Holy, holy, holy [is] the LORD of hosts; The whole earth [is] full of His glory! And the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of him who cried out, and the house was filled with smoke." Isaiah 6:1-4
Our Direction
Humans are made for worship. ALL people worship something or someone. At Dutchtown Baptist Chruch, we desire to worship our Creator and Savior and to spread his fame alone. Whether expressed in song, service, or obedience, we desire our worship to be genuine and to give God His rightful place on the throne of our lives.
Why We Worship
The reality of this passage is why we can't help but worship. Worship at Dutchtown is much more than music; it involves prayer, listening and responding to the Word preached, giving, silence, and lifting our voices to heaven.
Why We Pray
We believe that prayer is a vital part of worshipping our Savior and knowing Him more. We want to be people who are in communication with our God as we drive, as we go to class, as we work, as we spend time with family or friends. We do this because we want to follow the example of Jesus and because we believe that God listens to, cares about, and responds to the prayers of those who know Him.
